The Soul and the Eyes

. . . an American Haiku and Poetic Essay

How joyful is the soul when it is allowed to see through its windows . . . the eyes!

. . . when the eyes do not pull down the blinds of unchecked emotions of prejudice and fear

. . . but when they allow the clear light of love to shine through them from the truth of the soul.

It has often been said that ‘the eyes are the windows of the soul’.

When we are attuned to our soul the eyes are wide open for the soul to speak through them.

But we sometimes put blinders over them . . . and thus keep the soul from being able to express with clear vision.

When we go within to see what reality the soul can show us of a given situation

the truth can shine through the eyes when the soul expresses its answer from the heart as the seat of the soul.

So let us open wide the windows of our soul to let the truth of Love and Light shine through in all dark times!
