NATURE AND WORLD
How I Became a Marketeer for Gaia
A poem and a story. About Mother Nature. About Gaia. About knowledge and wisdom. And about marketing.

Gaia Knows Best
Knowledge and wisdom, where have you been?
Now the rivers are waning the soil is eroding and the trees are leaving this world?
How can I live in a world without wisdom?
How can I live in a world full of hate?
How can I live in a world that is drowning in sound and in shouts, and in stupid, somber sorrow?
We have our rational heads we have our compassionate hearts why is it so difficult to act wisely?
My friend Gaia knows best, so I listen.
Every day, I listen.
Every day, I learn.
Every day, I dance on her waves. Opening my senses, to let the wisdom in.
Gaia knows best.
So let’s dance and write poetry…
In my long career, I’ve always been an international marketeer and manager. Luckily not one who blows bubbles and manipulates people into buying stuff they don’t need.
No, I was a B2B marketeer. Packaging complex and deep information in such a way that people in scientific, high tech markets understood and could make wise decisions.
I was good at my job.
But something was desperately missing.
In 2013, my world view changed. And I saw what was missing.
PURPOSE.
So, I learned. And I danced. And I found my voice.
Now I contribute to all-encompassing causes by combining what I did best in business with my passions. Creating a world that everyone wants to live in.
Aligning economies and ecology with the human spirit. Creating an inclusive world. A compassionate world. A sustainable world. A world where people know they are part of nature and act upon that fact.
In short, I rewilded my soul.
And I’m a freelance, free-spirited marketeer for Gaia now.
Promoting nature-based solutions that create multiple benefits for humans and other species. Spreading Gaia’s wisdom with meaningful words. And images. And actual hands-in-the-soil-projects.
And for whoever is wondering how I made the above campaign image? It’s Canva. I don’t have shares, don’t worry. Ethical as can be. You can also use Adobe Spark or some other program.
It’s easy to do and fun to create.
And sharing these images on social media enhances my visibility.
I go full flow on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. Post nature images on Instagram and make sure everyone sees my stories via Pinterest and ManyStories. And the project-proposals arrive from unexpected corners.
I write rational stories about business solutions, politics, and connecting to nature. Or fiction and poetry with nature angles and triggering images.
I’m glad I’m a marketeer now. Completely independent. Never selling any products but Gaia’s wisdom.
A great job!
With all the freedom I want.
In short, a great right livelihood!
If you want to connect, you can find me on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, or my website. Or somewhere in the world listening to Gaia’s wisdom…
