You want to become a writer. Or do you want to start selling your services on Fiverr?
You may want to start making money on Medium.
Whatever it is, follow these simple steps. Remember, a simple business plan yields much better results!
How I quit my day job
If I were to start my journey all over again, this is what I would do.
- Select 3 ways you wanna make money. Later you can add more — For example — I went with Ebooks and Fiverr. The third one was YouTube but later I started my music store. Go for ONLY THREE.
- Don’t ask Google or ChatGPT for advice — I see many people doing this. That’s the reason why “Top 7 ways to make money online” or “How to make $10k per day” is getting so much famous on the internet. Remember, Google and ChatGPT or any such platforms won’t be able to help you. Instead, they will make you more confused.
- Pick anyone from the list of 3 — Pick the one that is very close to your expertise or interest. Remember, people become experts only when they work daily on your craft. If you are not an expert then it’s still okay. You’ll become one along the way. The other two can rest for now. We will come to them later.
- Now follow someone famous in the niche — You have chosen the work you wanna do. Chances are that you must have seen SOMEONE doing it already. So start following someone who is already making money out of it. If possible, sign up for their newsletter.
- Reflect their actions — I am not saying to copy. Copying others will increase more time to achieve your goals. Learn from them. Take their advice. They are the people who have already been in your place at some point in their life. The only aim here is to learn the basic foundation of the business.
- Start working from day 7 —Once you find someone famous in your niche, learn from them as much as possible. Give it at the most 6 days. Watch their interviews. I am sure they must have revealed something that will be useful to you. Because I did the same.
- Join the community — You cannot do it all alone. We all need inspiration now and then.
Conclusion
I used this during earlier writing days. I failed to understand this the first time. Starting days are depressive because you don’t know what to do. I always used to question myself. Thought that whatever I was doing would go in vain someday.
Whenever I start a new small side hustle, I still follow the same trick.
Find someone, follow their footsteps, and once you understand the method, create your own path.
2024 is coming. No better time to start than now.
