High Above the City

Photo of the author

There is nothing that makes me happier than hiking in the woods with my dog. Nature keeps me balanced and helps me find my center. It allows me to take a break from my anxiety and recharge my soul. Feeling the wind blowing through the trees allows me to de-stress and forget about the world for a while.

Viewing the world from a mountain gives you breathtaking views and a different perspective. Everything is smaller when you are overlooking a city. You can see how everything is connected and get a birds-eye view of the streets and businesses below.

High above the city the greatest joy is found look into the distance reaching for the clouds

Getting lost in the wind that blows past every tree spending time in nature always centers me

Escaping what tends to weigh heavy on my mind somehow distant mountains help my fears unwind

The happiest traveler keeps me company four legs, a waggy tail walks ahead of me

Nothing is out of reach Just one step at a time I discover myself with each mountain climbed
