My Favorite Thing In Nature Where I Live?

Weekly Prompt 30 of 52 of Dancing Elephants Press

I live in New Delhi. It is a big city. It is quite heavily populated and has large vehicular traffic.

There is traffic perpetually. Then what is my favorite thing in nature where I live?

My vicinity is green. It has beautiful trees and plants. When I wake up in the morning I see a lot of greenery around me.

I often feel like saying “How green is my valley.”

There is absolutely flat land around me. We live in the plains with all four seasons of the year.

Summer and winter, spring and autumn so we are ready with all kinds of wardrobes at home.

Sometimes we overdo things by buying more clothes than required.

At the moment there is a lot of cotton flying all over the place.

I love the trees around me. The green grass and the squirrels and butterflies.

My vicinity is endowed with lovely birds like the Indin Cuckoo called Koyal, mynahs, sparrows, crows, pigeons, and parrots.

These make my life so happy.

Early morning when I stand on my verandah it is quiet and fresh and evokes a feeling of spirituality leading to peace and quiet thought thinking of the universe and the Higher self.

I bend my head and am in gratitude for all the beautiful things in my life.

What makes you happy?

All of us have some favorite things around us. Do relate to them and tell us what you enjoy.

In the morning I get a chance to gaze at the sunrise from my bedroom window and the sun's rays make it warm and a happy place to be in.

In the evening if I have time I look at the sundown with the ball of fire going down.

I feel blessed that I can walk around in the lovely place where I meet a lot of pets. I predominantly see a variety of dogs big and small and different breeds.

It is a fun place to be in. My neighbors are wonderful too. We get together and take a walk in the evenings. Several people are morning walkers too and do yoga in the park.
