It’s never been a better time to recalibrate and focus on self-care and taste the finer, richer, things of life.

You are inevitably going to have your down days. This is fine and very human of you. It’s especially important these days to find at least one thing you are grateful for as it helps to shift your mind and energy around what’s going on.

But don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you decide to enjoy your life by stopping and having a treat yourself moment.

The best reason to treat ourselves is to heal. Healing our physical, emotional & spiritual systems is part of our mental hygiene.

When we treat ourselves, we experience a feeling of wellbeing that magically lifts our energy and vibrations.

If you want you can wait for somebody else to buy flowers for you, but don’t wait for too long.

You don’t need to wait as the small gestures of self-love can give you hope and trust when you need it the most.

Sleep longer, watch Netflix, go to a nearby cafe, eat croissants, savor a coffee, and read a novel for 2–3 hours.

You deserve it!

Even if it’s just to put fingernail polish on and do a color touch-up on your hair, it will make a difference in how you live your life and how you choose to feel.

For the ones spending too much of your time doing things for others buying a new book, a chocolate or a trip to the salon will not be the end of the world. It’s just a sign of self-care.

Here are some more ideas of small gestures you can consider treating yourself with.

  • Learn a new craft.
  • Write a poem.
  • Buy a house plant.
  • Take yourself on a solo date- some may be rolling your eyes at me, but I enjoy this one.
  • Go through old photographs.
  • Try a new coffee shop.

You can treat yourself by allowing others to compliment you. Let them remind you how wonderful you are.

Pat yourself on the back once in a while. It may sound a little corny, but it can be a wonderful trick when you are having a day that’s less than amazing.

Take time for yourself when you need it. It’s not selfish.

Some Employers have implemented for their employees these free days for no reason. They call them mental health days, where you just say you’re not coming in.

Treat yourself right and spoil yourself when you need it! Everything else will fall into line.

You boost your confidence when you are living your life by you and you generate the strength needed to love others.
