Happiness is When the Fog is Lifting Above the Forest
November Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Collecting Smiles”
A medieval castle in fairytale land.
I didn’t know or didn’t think that far when growing up that fog only covers the ground and above that thin layer of moisture the sun is often shining creating a sea of clouds below.
Especially through my profession of skydiving where I often do sit in a plane looking down onto the world, I did get to see some pretty foggy mornings with the sun shining above the fog in the valley.
Or when I go on the hikes and reach the mountain ridge before the fog has cleared I got to see some pretty spectacular views.
Today it was just a short hike to a medieval castle in rural Romania when we suddenly got out of the thick forest and a spectacular view opened up in front of our eyes.
The woods appeared above the fog and the valleys remained hidden underneath it.
The landscape was smiling at me.
