WRITING PROMPT RESPONSE

Food is Bringing Joy to My Travels

November Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Collecting Smiles”

A tasteful bite in the city.

This is something that always brings smiles to my face.

Traveling.

And while I travel I have to eat. Trying local dishes and snacks teaches me more about the culture I am exploring. It’s what brings me joy throughout the day.

Food.

And when we were walking through the historical town of the medieval city of Sighişoara, I found this small food stall selling Langoş, a local dish typical in Transylvania.

I ordered one with sour cream and grated cheese and sat down on a bench in the sun. The city below my feet and this warm Langoş in my hands.

I couldn’t resist. I had to smile.
