Haiku — 0025: Element.

Back to the basics.

Image generated with DALL-E.

Relishing the pause,

Summer plains beneath its hooves,

The horse runs again.

A half week of crisis led to a few grim entries in this publication, but around here, I started thinking I should clean the slate again. After all, my recent poem celebrating the 100th follower was not as impactful as some of my other works — CLEARLY, I was affected.

So, I came to terms with it, and it’s, therefore, time to go back to the basics. And that includes going back to the original tradition of Haiku, with a kigō and the return to a more nuanced observation of nature. Just like a horse (funny side note — My name also translates to ‘horse’ in the Sanskrit language) which gets back to the wide field, full of life with each gallop, so do I take a pause and return to what I do best — Pulling through whatever life throws at me, and writing with a stronger heart.

It’s time to go back to my basics.

What do you do, when you think you need to regroup and return? What is your recluse?
