We writers, don’t need any middlemen for selling our ebooks from now on.

Go anywhere now. You’ll see writers selling their ebooks directly to their audience. No need for any middleman now. We, the writers, will keep the maximum profit!

Choose a niche. Choose a platform. And start making sales!

There are many alternatives if you want to sell ebooks directly to your audience. But way before that — I discovered Gumroad.

Why I Went With Gumroad for my ebooks?

  1. It’s for minimalist writers— I juggle with a lot of things at the same time. I will be marketing my music store, sometimes writing books or researching new niches, and so on. Marketing and product creation takes a lot of time. I don’t want to handle an eCommerce website because managing it is not easy.
  2. No upfront cost — I really like the businesses that I can start with zero investment.
  3. Many writers use Gumroad — There are creators who use Payhip and Patreon as well. But Gumroad is way more popular and has more features which I’ll discuss soon.
  4. Set up is easy — I have made many websites in the past. And I know making a website is not easy. Outdated plugins, large photos, low space, etc. I have handled them all. So no more trouble for me.
  5. Discover Option — I didn’t know this before until I got a sale from Gumroad itself. Yes, people go directly to Gumroad to buy products. I do this myself.
  6. Flexible Pricing and Payment Options —On Gumroad, I decide the price of my ebook. Also, there is one option called pay-as-you-want. That’s where I got started. Buyers are willing to pay you more if they like your online work. Some buyers paid $25 for a $9 ebook!
  7. Newsletter — Newsletter is expensive. Admit it. You need to pay around a minimum of $500 per year. Gumroad gave it for free. No paying upfront. I can set ANY no. of newsletters I want. I love this one!

Conclusion

If you are a writer or creator then I highly recommend selling your products on Gumroad. See, platforms just help you to collect money and send files to your customers. It’s not rocket science. But the best thing about this is that you shouldn’t waste time worrying about setting up the website or which plugins will be the best. Or what type of theme to install. A good theme costs a minimum of $100.

I want someone else to take this trouble. This gives me more time to write my books. Less time spent on handling the website means more time for my work. Simple.

So pay less, worry less, and make more $$!
