WRITING PROMPT: TO BE HUMAN IS TO BE IMPERFECT
Grace and Glory Live In Our Beautiful, Fine-Tuned Flaws
Knowing we are family in this human race is a blessing and assurance.
Look to your right, peer to your left Family, you will find, near and far, this great divide
No need to run, no reason to hide With each breath, this world weeps the heartache left
Our human bodies share in shaping, divine decisions in the making Smooth or rough, speckled or painted, a glorious palette never tainted
Blemished, bruised, scorched, or cut, hug gently to help out of a rut Brothers and sisters caress our eyes with beauty in texture and size
Changing your name or erasing your spots won’t deny your family lots Magic won’t decide your kingdom; no animal or insect is your Mum
Truth be told forever, you are the Human family; run your race together Hold on tightly to the very end; each way you look should be a Human friend
