How It starts
- You say you want to write.
- You got journals over the years where you start and stop and repeat and quit.
- You got to get a real job to make real money to take care of yourself cause all you got is you.
- You got dreams, big dreams of being the greatest writer of all time.
- You got hopes.
- You got wants and wishes.
- You got bills, bills, lots of bills.
- You got no promotion or raise in salary, even though you work your ass off.
- You got “quiet quitting” of your job.
- You know “there has got to be more” than this…
The Fix for problems
A friend tells you to read their stories on Medium.com. Read and clap, read and clap…clap…clap 50 times. You are good at following instructions, so that is what you do.
Do you think these stories are good, informative, motivational, sad, interesting, empathetic, heart-wrenching, TMI, I can relate to, healthy, true, or fictional? “YES!”
The Lightbulb Moment
- If my friend can write, I can write.
- If my friend can share, I can share, maybe, not much or very little, in my comfort zone.
- I might as well give it a try.
- So, I write and write and write and write and share and share and share and share.
- I publish my stories, 25 of them (check the partial list below.)
- I publish story 26, Sell It, Donate, Dump It! through a publication, NWW.
- I actually, get reads and comments, WOW!
- Someone gets me and likes my stories.

Writing Class Rules
- Lots of new stuff I have heard of or not and never had to use till now!
- I have a learning curve to tackle and tackle I will.
- I feel like the tortoise and not the hare.
- I start the class and then have to go research what each subject means.
- I am led to another whole new entire topic to study now.
- I feel like the hamster on the proverbial wheel.
- I “keep on keepin’ on” as I slowly make it through another topic.
All I want to do is write!

Now to Get Up to Speed
- The most I used is Google search (internet search engine) and Gmail (google free email) for my needs and these have got me through.
- Youtube “how to do” to the rescue too.
- Teams for O365/O365 Apps at work, Zoom, WebEx.
