Ginger Rogers II At Your Service
A brief introduction to my modelling career

Hi 👋
It’s me, Ginger Rogers II, also known as Ginger, Ging, and Gingie.
I thought it was about time I hopped in here to say a quick “hello”. After all, my two furry house mates have made their debut here (and made a couple of complaints about me) and my human has shared my story. So, it’s time my voice was heard.

This is me 👆
As you can see, I am extremely elegant. And, as you now realise from reading this, I know it.
Apparently, according to the smaller furry creatures in the house — the ones with the sharp claws and the whiney voices — I don’t have very good table (well, floor) manners, but that’s just because I like my food and drink. Especially when it is food made for cats or humans.
I like to eat a lot and then I burn it all up when I run like the wind. That’s my favourite thing to do. I run faster than almost all the dogs I have met in the little town where I live. I think that’s why I have survived through many obstacles during my ten-year existence.
Did you know that I used to be a street dog in Cebu City in the Philippines?
Well, I did, but look at me now!

I get to run like the wind on the top of Dartmoor, and play peek-a-boo around the huge granite rocks!
All this running is how I stay so slender and, well, model-like.
You see, as my human wrote in her story about me, not only was I once a street dog in Cebu City in the Philippines, but I crossed the globe during the height of a pandemic, in August 2020 with my old mum.
We lived in France for a while and then I travelled on to England to live with my new mum.
I was brought to this part of the world where the air is so cold that my teeth often chatter.
I don’t understand that part. It was always so perfectly warm in Cebu.
But, because it was so warm, I never had the chance to wear any of the delightful outfits I now wear. And so, I believe I can thank this global travel for my new career as a model.
My old mum had me wearing this lovely dress last Christmas…

I thought that was extravagant.
However, it turns out that my new mum really wanted to get my modelling career going, and I now model a wide selection of dog-wear.
From the Dartmoor Pixie-Green Gown…

…to my rain wear…

But, that’s not all!
As you can see, we do like our scenery, so my modelling career likes to show off the nice places that I get to wear my new wardrobe, such as along the River Dart…

That’s my warm, outdoor, purple number.

And I now have this lovely, snuggly, soft number for inside the house…

Which sometimes makes me want to do this…

My mum chose the colour — Red Wine — because it would match her favourite drink 🍷
I have now been with my new family for 5 months and soon we will have our first Christmas together.
Apparently, the children of my new family want me to have some reindeer antlers for Christmas. I don’t know what they are but they sound interesting 🤔
Stay tuned for the next instalment of Ginger the Fashion Icon.
