Summary

Jupiter Grant presents a whimsical poem titled "Ghosts Don’t Get Toothache," inspired by an emoji prompt challenge, and tags other writers to participate.

Abstract

The website features a creative piece by Jupiter Grant, which humorously explores the concept that ghosts, unlike vampires, do not experience dental pain. The poem, inspired by an emoji prompt challenge, depicts a scenario where the ghost Casper breaks a tooth while playing German Whist with Moaning Myrtle. The lighthearted narrative highlights the absurdity of a ghost needing dental care, as they cannot access financial services like credit cards. The article also acknowledges the work of Jennifer McDougall and tags other writers, inviting them to engage with the same emoji prompt. Additionally, Jupiter Grant is introduced as a self-published author, blogger, narrator, and audiobook producer, with links to their other works and a suggestion to support them by buying a coffee.

Opinions

  • The author playfully suggests that ghosts, specifically Casper, would not suffer from toothaches, contrasting this with the notion that vampires do visit dentists.
  • The poem is a response to an emoji prompt challenge, indicating the author's participation in and appreciation for creative writing exercises.
  • The mention of Jennifer McDougall's tagging and the subsequent tagging of other writers shows a sense of community and mutual support among writers on the platform.
  • The inclusion of links to the author's other works and the invitation to buy them a coffee suggests a desire to engage with the audience and perhaps a humble request for support in their creative endeavors.

Casper broke a tooth upon a chewy piece of deep-fried squid whilst hanging out with Moaning Myrtle, playing German Whist. He had no way to pay for treatment — the dead can’t get a Visa card! This made the usually friendly Casper well and truly pissed.

Can you imagine Casper with his hands held out before his dentist weeping ectoplasmic tears whilst begging “Please, for pity’s sake”? No, nor can I. I made it up, of course! As we’re all well aware, only vampires go to dentists. Ghosts do not get toothache!
