Get Swept Away By The Enchanting Snow

Snows magical and unwavering beauty

Authors Image- Snowy canvas in Canada

Snow sprinkles a certain kind of magic into the world.

Like a clear canvas, it covers our surroundings with a blanket, tucking the world into a comfortable embrace as we gradually shift through the seasons.

I have never seen as much snow in my life as I have living in Canada.

Sure in the UK at times it snowed, but the UK is not really equipped to handle the snow the way Canada is.

On the off chance it did snow in the UK, it was the biggest inconvenience; I actually used to hate it when it snowed.

Here in Canada however, it's business as usual during a snowstorm.

Authors Image- Snow in the Rockies

The best place to experience the snow in Canada is in the Rockies.

When I lived in Jasper the snow didn’t stop us from hiking or being outside.

I never thought I’d be the type of person to hike in the snow, but when in Canada ay.

There’s something about the snow that invokes our inner child, we can’t help but play like we did when we were younger.

Before the stresses and responsibilities of our world burdened us and made us so serious about life.

When my family came to visit me here, this was an observation my parents had made too. They felt like they were children again without a care in the world.

There was something about the snow that triggered nostalgia for our childhood, a deep longing for that youthful innocence.

That is the effect of snow; it serves like a time machine, taking us back to simpler times.

Authors Image- Snowcapped trees

The beauty of the snow goes without saying.

The glistening white powder, so soft to the touch; covering trees, mountains, roads, and lakes. Snow knows no bounds.

There is something so magical about snow-covered landscapes, the way it sparkles and reflects the sunlight, the sound of it crunching beneath your feet. It is a wonder for all the senses.

Some people love it, some people hate it, but you can't deny that snow has its own enchanting aura that draws you in and serves as a reminder of how drastically different our world can look from season to season.

“What good is the warm of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.” — John Steinbeck
