Gaining Inspiration and Motivation from Memoirs
Get your thoughts together and write your memoir
The time you broke your hand, the time you made a fool of yourself at your friend’s wedding, the time you missed having a major accident, the time you mistook an unknown woman to be your girlfriend, the time you missed your lunch date, these are just a few of the memories that you could include in your memoir. You have more exciting ones to include, I am sure.
Write down a list of all the pleasant and unpleasant memories that you have had in life. After you have made a list of them, write about each experience in great detail. Make every incident either happy, sad or just embarrassing, depending on how you felt at the time, as far as you can remember. The emotions that you bring to the surface in each story, will keep the reader engrossed, and it will make your memoir a page-turner.
Create a list of all the wisdom that you have gained over the years as a result of your life experiences. After you have made a list of these nuggets of wisdom, develop them for inclusion in your memoir. Why do people read memoirs? It is to know how ordinary as well as successful people have lived their lives.
Every memoir that has ever been written gives the reader an opportunity to catch a glimpse of the mind, and life experiences of the author. Sometimes, a reader may find that there are a few events that are similar to the one he or she has experienced. This makes the reader sympathetic to the writer and more interested in reading the whole story from start to finish. Readers generally get inspired and motivated after reading memoirs. Write your page-turning memoir starting today.
