PHOTO-A-DAY CHALLENGE
Full Moon Magic and Friends in the Sky
Week 148 of the photographic documentary of my daily life
It’s been a wonderful week. We were busy at work, I had friends coming over for a visit, and I got to do some fun stuff like playing in the water and taking pictures in nature. Doesn’t that sound great?
Starting out the week with the first day in June, I woke up early with the urge to go to the bathroom, and this was the view I had when I stepped out of the trailer.
It was a spectacular sunrise. And what a day ahead.

On Friday, I was busy at work taking students to the skies and doing some tandem skydives with nervous passengers. In the evening, I looked up before going to bed and saw the almost perfect full moon.

The following night, two friends of mine came for a visit, and we had a barbecue together with our colleagues and new friends at the airport. The moon just appeared behind the wind turbines and had an orange touch to it.

The perfect full moon was shining in the dark sky just minutes later.

The two girls were coming from Stuttgart, and when they left on Friday, my friend sent me a text asking for a friend if we still had space for two people doing a skydive.
Of course, we did. And while I never ask any of my family members or friends if they want to skydive as I don’t want to force anyone to do it, they all know, if they are planning to do one, all they have to do is ask me.
And so she did.
And on Sunday, I took her, and David took the other friend for a tandem skydive. My friend was rather scared and very nervous, but once we were hanging under the parachute, she was smiling all around. It was so much fun doing this adventure with her.
I used to play handball with her. I was the goalie; she was the one running to the front, getting the ball from me to score a goal. And now we were both together in the skies.

Monday was our off day, and since the girls had booked a wakeboarding session at the nearby lake, I went with them down there. We spent a few hours relaxing and tanning in the sun (or shade) and then went to the wakeboarding lift.
It was a fun day, and all three of us were smiling when we said goodbye. They had a 3-hour drive home, and I slowly cruised through the countryside arriving back at our trailer just half an hour later.

Tuesday, we were back at work but finished early. As I was sitting working on the laptop, I looked at the meadow and saw two brown hares sitting in the grass.
I grabbed my camera and went for a short walk to capture their full size. When they duck down, they almost disappear in the tall grass but when they get up on their back legs, they stand out quite a lot.

After two weeks of sunshine and blue skies, the clouds are back and what a view. This is my kind of window view. From my office chair.

This has been my week in photographs. 7 days. 7 photographs. Anyone can join. Once. Or weekly. It doesn’t matter. We welcome everyone! Dennett started this photography challenge in 2020 and many have participated ever since.
