From 0 to 100k view in 3 months.

The worst month of my life.
I live in Ukraine.
In February of 2022 Russia has invaded Ukraine.
Thousands of people are killed already.
Some cities are completely destroyed.
Thousands of civil people are killed already by artillery, missile attacks, and soldiers of Russia.
If you can help even with a couple of $ Ukraine, pls use this official link to donate money. Every $ matter. It can save another life.
All earned money from Medium I redirect to that charity foundation.
What about Writing?
Context
To get some context you may be interested in my previous stats reviews:
February
In February I wanted to give everyday writing a try. I was really skeptical about this technique, previously. So, decided to double-check it.
So I decided to write every day and publish a small piece every day.
Not so hard for the 3rd month of conquering Medium.
At some point, I reached even 100k views.

I managed to publish 22 things in February. Then the war has begun.
I was too shocked to write about anything else. But I couldn’t write about it with calm and peace. Most cities were bombed. People were dying, others were hiding in the shelters. It was too hard to concentrate.
Later, I’ll write about the war, hope after its end.
February Results

The above numbers are curious, but you need context to compare.
So, let’s have a look at January results when I wasn't obsessed with an everyday writing challenge.

Comparison
Writing more doesn’t mean success.
Writing more means that you write more. Still, the most important thing is to take care of the reader. If you do it — you succeed.
In January I wrote fewer articles but my results were approximately the same. January’s articles are more important. 70% of February's income was created by January articles.
Spamming articles every day correlated with lower reading time and engagement. I’m not sure about the reason. But I have an idea:
What amount of value can the writer put into the article if writing is a secondary goal? While the main goal is to publish a new piece…
What is the key in my opinion?
Most readers of this story would be Medium writers that are curious about the Medium system and earning. That is the target audience I am looking for when I write this string.
I have an important message to share. To be honest it isn’t a message. It’s a request for a favor. I ask you about a favor:
Please, dear Authors, write for your readers, not for yourself, your ego, obligations, or money.
We have a unique opportunity to share our ideas and thoughts with the whole world. Medium allows us to do it. Let’s don’t screw this opportunity.
I would like to see Medium as a platform where I can find curious and valuable information about any topic. Where authors all around the world would publish their unique insights and experiences.
So let’s add value to the platform and readers. Do not steal someone’s time by writing just another article because you “have to”.
Working this way together we can improve the quality of content here. We can improve readers’ impression of Medium. We can improve ourselves as writers.
In long term, it is more valuable than earning a few bucks with another “empty” article. A writing career is a marathon, not a sprint.
Again: If you can donate even a few $ to support Ukrain — please do it. You can save lives and stop the slaughter that happens here.
P.S. If you liked this thing, follow me and leave feedback. Good luck!
