For All The Content Creators, Create More!
A deep-down guide for content creators.
I just wanted to make money. That was my utmost goal. When you need something, you find ways to get it. That’s a human way to do things. I was in college, struggling to make some money and the Internet and a laptop were the only two things I have.
I started writing on a blog.
That was my first step in content creation.
A popular writer on Medium wrote 36 stories in the month of July. Writing every single day takes time and you have to dedicate a lot of your time to create content and get new ideas.
What is the content?
Content could be anything from podcasts to videos to a simple text. The following are some of the types of content.
- Videos
- Articles or blog posts
- Podcasts
- Short Facebook post
- Images or pictures
- Stories or short 15 seconds videos
The two benefits of creating content online?
- Exposure: More content means more exposure of your brand. Think about it as the more you create, the more chances of getting exposure. Every mainstream platform support creators that publish content regularly. With these updates, the creator burnout problem often mentioned in many articles.
- The Branding: If you aren’t consistent, you lose followers and the brand of being an expert writer on a topic or a related topic. Being a content producer, if you aren’t producing more content, this hurt your branding and also you lose to the competition. If you are struggling to get social engagement or social proof on your content, the only solution to this problem is that you should start creating and publishing more content.
I have a YouTube channel with over 3.6K followers and over 3.1K followers on Medium and writing and producing content from the last four years on my blog and creating more content could help you build your brand and following quicker than anyone who isn’t producing more content.
Does more content mean more money?
Yes. That’s a single word answer. More content on any platform means more money. Platforms like YouTube pay you for getting more monetize views and you will make money. You can read this guide of getting monetized on YouTube quickly. There are a lot of case studies on Medium where writers have confessed that the more stories you publish on monthly basis, the more money you make. Medium gives you the opportunity to publish 3 stories in last 24 hours.
Writing and publish more content on a platform means, more impressions and views which in term means that more people will find your page or channel and opt to subscribe or follow you.
How to generate more content?
Now, this is very basic but primary thing you need to learn about creating more content. Most bloggers or content creators initially get influenced and start something that after creating a dozen pieces of content lose the sight of finding more content ideas. The same thing happens with me on Medium and I suppose the same thing could happen with every content creators.
- Find the niche:
I struggled a lot to find the right niche for my YouTube channel and blog.
Here are some of the things I learned while selecting the right niche for my YouTube channel.
- Write down a topic you are very interested in and also know about that topic too! Got it, you have a niche.
- Something you are doing for a long time like in a factory working as a Foreman, record yourself and upload it to YouTube or any of your favorite platform.
- Content ideas:
How you can get newer and most interesting content ideas for your next big video or blog post?
- Enlist all your competitors and spy on them and the content they produce. Produce a similar type of content but add more quality.
- Use the search engine of your favorite site and find what types of things people are searching for. Or Follow the industry leaders in that topic and you will get a daily dose of content.
- Use Quora and Medium. You can find content related to almost every topic on both these platforms. Just scroll the topic feed of these two sites and at the end of the 30th minute, you will have a list of ideas to publish more content.
- Read books. If you are making videos about a topic, go to Amazon or any of your favorite online book website and order a book related to that topic. You can get hundreds of ideas just reading a single book. Sometimes while reading a book, I have random ideas that turn out to be very successful in the future.
- Google search. Google often adds a 12 related search term when you search for a keyword. You can literally generate dozens of such blog post ideas just through Google search.
Look, having more blog posts ideas and actually clicking on the “Publish” button is a completely different thing.

What should you do to generate content every day?
- Make a to-do list. I run multiple things in a single day, I run a Successful Quora Space, a YouTube channel, A Medium Account, a Pinterest account and have a Blog where I write about Engineering. I don’t publish everyday on all these platforms but publish content in a proper way. Make a to-do list and make sure you make the content for that audience. Writing a to-do at the start of the day could make you more productive.
- Start everything with writing: If you are a Videon creator or a podcast host, start everything with writing. Writing the questions, the topic you are going to talk about, and what else.
- Use the 5-second rule to publish more content: If have an idea about a topic you want to publish on any social media platform, write down the idea and the things you going to talk about. The 5-seconds rule is, count from backward 5,4,3,2,1 and standup doing the things that were long overdue.
I hope this helps.
