First week in November down — I’ve published this many Medium stories so far

The first week of November just wrapped and I had the opportunity to count the number of stories I’ve had published.

It never occurred to me to check in on how many stories I published for the month so far.

I don’t usually have a monthly goal but the question came to me from a comment a reader asked in one of my side hustle stories.

This is it…

That number is 17.

17 stories in 7 days with about 3–4 in draft, awaiting approval from publications.

How do I do it?

First, 17 stories is a lot.

I used to write around 25+ articles on News Break a few months back and that would tirelessly take me the whole month.

What’s different with Medium?

I’m actually writing about the stuff I like.

As a result, I can churn out a lot of work quickly and the best part is, it doesn’t even feel like work!

If you’re curious about how I can publish so much and how I craft my articles to help me earn high views and make thousands per month on Medium, check out these stories where I share my secret sauce…

Is Medium my full-time job?

Nope, it isn’t but, to be fair and entirely transparent, I’m an entrepreneur.

I have a pretty relaxed schedule and I’ve created my dream routine where I can do pretty much what I want, when I want.

That leaves a lot of time in my schedule for writing.

I worked hard for many years to get to this point and I’m incredibly blessed and humbled to be in this position.

Today for example, I did virtually no work until around 8pm.

My Mondays are usually pretty light and today was an example of that.

I took a short nap in the morning and then went furniture shopping and out to a long lunch with hubby for a few hours before we returned home to meet our son at the bus stop.

The evening was spent hanging out with my son, baking cookies, eating leftovers from our lunch out, and watching a new series on Netflix.

Although Medium isn’t my full-time job, it totally could be.

What I mean is, I have the availability in my schedule to treat it that way.

And, one of my top tips to writers who want to grow their Medium following and get high views from their stories is to treat your writing on Medium like it is your full-time job.

You’ll see a difference.

For now, I spend about an hour or so dedicated to writing for Medium daily with much more time spent on the platform perusing the other articles. I love learning and I continue to be more and more impressed with the feed Medium has curated for me, based on my interests and what I enjoy reading.

Anyway, first week of November down, 17 stories, my views in the last 30 days are around 240,000 and I’ve made $1,300 for the month so far.

I hope to make November a record-breaking month like October was.
