Set Your Priorities

First Things First: Let Your Actions Do The Talking

Because your actions speak louder than your words.

Family Photo, my dad circa mid-1930s

What you do tells the world what you value. Your actions determine your priorities.

I didn’t realize this at the moment, but my first post on Medium was about my dad, and what I learned from him. He has been my biggest supporter and my inspiration throughout my life.

As we celebrate Father’s Day in the United States, I wanted to write something special and dedicate it to my dad. But I realize now that I had already done that. It’s not the story I wrote, but that I started my writing journey on Medium on my dad’s birthday, with an appreciation for what I learned from him.

My dad passed away about a month before his 75th birthday, but he lives on in my heart and in the hearts of his grandchildren who grew up with him.

Happy Father’s Day, Puppa!

The mother of my children texted this to me this morning.

Me, after the summer camp, 1984. Cleaveland OH.

As always, thank you for reading and responding.
