Finding Freedom in Change
Day 42: Balancing your energy along the spiritual path

As I strolled along my path today, I spotted some beautiful yellow leaves on the ground. It is a sign of the season to come. Things are always evolving all around us. Nothing is ever stagnant, even though it may seem the same as yesterday. As I sit here, writing this piece, everything around me and inside me at a cellular level and smaller is changing. This is my lesson for today, that the world all around us is very dynamic. As I explore the book The Force and others by Stuart Wilde on this 100-day journey, I am prepared to feel the freedom in change.
Spiritual growth is not a matter of withdrawing from life, it is a matter of developing the power within you, and then expressing it in some way. You are here to experience life, not to escape from it. It is useful to remember that energy must be delicately balanced and as your energy rises, and your perceptions grow, you will have to guard that fine line. -Stuart Wilde
Balancing my energy is a skill that I am starting to learn. My energy will not be perfectly balanced every day. However, I can start to notice the subtle differences in how I feel each day and make adjustments. I notice that sometimes I need to slow down. To find more symmetry in my days I need to stop and get a sense of how I feel. This brings more equilibrium to my daily practice.

Being in flow, and a part of the force will allow you to become sensitive to inner promptings, and even though they may be just faint feelings, the more you acknowledge the communication, the more the guide will convey. It’s important for you to believe what you hear and feel. -Stuart Wilde
This is the most beautiful part of life. Everything around you is a special message. You are more aware and more sensitive to your surroundings because you know that life is speaking to you through nature, through numbers you see, and people you meet.
Today was a perfect example of a balancing act. Normally, I would have finished this article in the morning, but I had opportunities to go out and about. I had fun picking out supplies to make a birthday cake for my son, got some coffee from my friend’s coffee shop, and more. Life was calling to me to go out and explore. I decided to go with the flow, to enjoy my day, and come back to my work later. By remaining flexible and going along with the current, I am feeling joyful as I finish up my work. Life sent me a beautiful message as I headed home today. The song “Heaven on Earth” played on the radio. It was fun to sing along! The universe is reminding me that all of the treasures of life are right here in front of me to enjoy.
My prayer and my intention for you today is to enjoy the flow of life. Days will be different than you expect them to be. Life can be heaven on Earth if we allow it to be! Crank up the music and sing along! Go out and enjoy as much as you can. Life is fleeting, so if you have opportunities, seize them!
How are you enjoying heaven on Earth today?
