WRITING PROMPT RESPONSE

Fighting the Cold as a Team

November Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “3”

Tough buddies enduring frost and ice.

I was surely impressed seeing how late into the season these roses were blooming. Yes, they are a little protected from the Cold because they are relatively close to the house but still. It’s late November and temperatures are in the negative (Celsius).

This morning everything was frozen. Again. We had a week or two above freezing but now the temperatures dropped again. And the roses got a thin layer of ice on them.

I wonder if they will drop the petals now or fight the cold keeping each other warm through body heat. Tough buddies, they are for sure.

Thank you Mary Chang for this fun writing prompt and the Six-Word Photo Story Challenge publication.
