Numbers aren’t creative.
They are just facts.
Just the facts, please. No!
Numbers are painful when they are not good.
I read a quote like this: “Write, don’t worry, and if you gotta worry, don’t write.”
Bullshit.
BAD: $480,000 A Medium Publication Fact:
Did you know that out of 27,000 writers in a popular publication (that shall remain nameless until the end) and its offshoots, a whopping 8,000 are not paying members of Medium? 💰
According to the chief editor, it’s a potential loss of $480,000 annually! 😲
I’m going to make an assumption. Remember when corny people went around saying, “When you make an assumption you make an ‘ass’ out of ‘u’ and ‘me’”? 😃
I remember saying it, lol. Here’s my assumption. Medium writers in the US can afford the $5 subscription. 💵
I won’t speak for Medium writers from other countries because A) some countries haven’t been opened to the Medium Partnership program, and B) I don’t know their wages and income.
Times are hard for US folks, but we’ve got 5 dollars for a well-ranking publication.
