Experiencing the Extraordinary

Day 36: Helping yourself move towards your dreams

As I stepped out the door on this cool summer morning, I could hear the cry of the mourning doves in our back garden. They kept calling me as I walked around, taking in the colors, scents, and sounds of the early day. I was curious about their message to me. What is nature telling me? What am I here to learn at this moment? I was fascinated to find out today that this dove symbolizes the spirit, peace, and hope. Today I can go forward, strengthening my spirit, trusting in the hope of this moment, and knowing that there is peace in my heart. I am enjoying going down this trail of discovery, exploring the book The Force and others by Stuart Wilde for 100 days.

Every day we have the opportunity to experience the extraordinary if we truly tune in and listen. Each morning I am acutely aware as I walk around in nature, waiting for the lessons that I need to learn for the day. With each step, I am growing my spirit and moving towards my dreams. My higher self is guiding me, in this very moment to achieve what I came here to do. It is my job to take action on those inklings and those messages from nature.

Anything that you can do to help yourself helps your higher self to move towards its goal. And as it approaches that goal, you will feel the excitement of worlds that you did not know existed. -Stuart Wilde

I believe that when we truly begin to show life that we are serious, we start to see miracles take place all around us. When you choose at least one daily practice and do it every single day, you are practicing greatness. I have experienced this with writing daily. Each day I write, I gain new insights, get help from others, and improve my craft.

Deep within you lies a special creativity. It might be in the fine arts, or an ability with animals, or the capacity to be a great teacher, peacemaker or diplomat, or anything else. These talents become encrusted with your limitations and never surface, trapped by fear, laziness, or spiritual ineptitude. If, however, you enliven yourself and you begin to express your creativity, the guide will have something to work with, and will pull in other guides and energies that have expertise in your field interest. Suddenly you have two, three, or more guides helping you. -Stuart Wilde

It is so imperative that we not let our talents go to waste. I believe that practicing our gifts as often as possible will lead to mastery. This mastery can then lead to beautiful realms we were not aware of before. Each day I write, I am opening myself up to the mystery of life. I am reaching out to the infinite for guidance and wisdom.

Even though it is beautiful to have a daily practice, and to gain insights on a daily basis, it can sometimes be a lonely place. When you decide to take the unknown path of embracing your talents and going for your dreams, you will have to brave the discomfort of being different. Society tells us one way of being, but in order to reach your spirit’s full potential, you have to go in the opposite direction.

There will sometimes be awkward conversations with friends and family who are loving and well-meaning, but who do not understand your spirit. It may be confusing and painful at times to navigate these relationships. I find that it is important to give yourself space and time. On your path, people will fall away or become less a part of your life than they once were. When this happens, have compassion and love for them and for yourself. They have their own evolution they are experiencing as well. I have experienced this first-hand many times. Give yourself grace and know that everything will work out in the end.

The growth process is the clearing away of the debris of all thought-patterns, bad habits, sloppy performances, and gummy thinking. If everything that you are is clogged by negativism, judgement, and body imbalance, you cannot be a channel for energy. The universe is ready and waiting for you to enhance your development. -Stuart Wilde

When you prepare yourself for the great adventure of going towards your dreams, you must clear away everything that is unnecessary. Take a close look at how you are thinking, your daily habits, the quality of your work and how you treat your body. All of these elements must be in balance to bring forth your creativity and your best work. Life is here waiting for you to start walking down the path. Once you start to love yourself and your life, you are on the way to your dreams.

My prayer and my intention for you today is that you embrace your special creativity and share it with the world every day. When you do, you will find that life is ready and waiting to help you. You will go through some growing pains along the way, as the path winds around in life. However, the rewards of following your heart on the way to your dreams are immense. The joy that you feel when connected to your true spirit shines through to everything that you do and on to others along the way.
