Enter Center Stage

Striking silhouette black and white
Like catching a forbidden glimpse of fairy flight
Murmuring lights momentarily dim
Onto the stage, a graceful darting form daintily alights
Bow to strings like a match, she strikes
Warmth and sound roar to blazing life
Vibrations heighten inner space
Excitedly flowing in bright, shining beams
Like the crackling of a toasty fireplace
Inciting the ground beneath our collective feet
To give way to the blasting dynamite beat
Filling the visible air with a resonant brightness
Vapor swirling backlights reveal notes
Flitting to the plucking of strings like snow sprites
Applause erupting in generous requite

I recently went to see the Lindsey Stirling Snow Waltz tour, and felt inspired by different aspects of it. I loved her entrance onto the stage. She was backlit from inside the gingerbread house set piece the drummer and guitarist were cleverly stationed on for most of the concert.
After a few bars, she emerged in a beautiful black and white outfit; she had absolutely amazing costuming throughout the entire show. I also thought the lighting was perfectly done, complimenting each song and heightening the emotional effect.
They made great use of the gingerbread house set piece throughout the show, using it as an elevated portion of the stage and going in and out for a third entrance/exit point from the stage. She also made great use of numerous props and costume changes, which are always exciting.
There were lots of kids in attendance of all ages who were absolutely having the best time, forming core memories they and their families will cherish for many years to come.
