Don’t Press My Buttons
It takes alot to make me angry
After I read Adrian CDTPPW post, Anger is Not Worth It, I decided to write this piece.
He tells us about a challenge Pamela Oglesby asks, “Do you get angry easily, or what makes you mad?”
I am probably one of the mellowest people you could ever meet.
I tend to be pretty calm. I don’t let a lot of things upset me.
At least not to the point of getting angry.
I think of myself as being pretty laid back and understanding.
On the other hand, if someone does manage to press my buttons, you really don’t want to be around. I have a temper from hell.
I think others can probably see the steam coming out of both my ears, like the cartoon character, Yosemite Sam.
So stand back, or run really, really, far away.
No one needs to see me when I’m like this, except my now, mortal enemy.
It takes a lot to get me this mad, but once I do, there’s usually no turning back.
I slam the door shut and lock it. Then I toss away the key. This person, place or thing, no longer has a spot in my life.
Yet, on a few occasions, I’ve been known to keep my cool and keep my enemies closer. This way, I can keep an eye on them and know exactly what to expect.
Besides, it’s more exciting, to watch them crumble, from that viewpoint.

✴ My kitty-cats get bored when I write, so toss them a treat if you like.
