The Upgrade —

“What if so-called deconstruction of a belief system isn’t simply disassembling and ejecting what has become an unreasonable mindset?” her teacher asked. “What if it is about unknowing any limiting belief in order to have more expansive understanding? An understanding that penetrates and dispels dogma, drama, and sophisticated mindsets? An understanding that reveals one’s pure consciousness and the wisdom inherent in it — leading one to one’s higher being which is able to observe drama without compulsively engaging?”
“What if,” her teacher suggested, “instead of a path of traumatic deconstruction one steps onto a path to evermore revelation and peace?”
“Do you mean,” the young woman asked, “I should abandon beliefs and just be open to the unknown? That sounds scarier than extracting a religious dogma from my mind that I’ve been deeply conditioned to.”
“Of course,” her teacher replied, “one’s ego, one’s sense of self that finds it’s reality in dogma and interactive drama will find such a path threatening. Yet even the ego, like a wild stallion can be subdued and transformed by one’s peaceful, nonjudgmental higher being who is imbued with wisdom and love.”
“Consider this,” her wise teacher suggested, “what if it is one’s own world-forged persona and not simply a belief system that is being reconfigured to align with one’s true being, one’s I Am?”
“By one’s I Am,” the young woman inquired, “are you referring to my own soul, that sense of an inner me where I feel my intuition comes from? That place of calm I retreat to when I start feeling overwhelmed?”
“Yes,” said her teacher, “you could say that. And you might consider this path of unknowing leading into deeper understanding as an upgrade to your present sense of self. What do you think of that?”
