Dear Medium, Thanks For Giving Me Another Bonus Of $500
Another round of bonuses has come out
I was a little upset for some days because my stats stuck. I wasn’t getting enough views and had a conversation with a few friends who told me that their Medium views were also down. Last night, something wonderful happened. I checked my Partner Program’s page and saw another bonus of $500 due in the month of July. Like the previous bonus, this bonus has been given for high member engagement.
Is It A One-Time Thing?
Medium says so but I don’t think it is a one-time offer. They have changed all the rules and have stopped funding some of the biggest publications. This is good for aspiring and pro writers. We can now expect a lot of bonuses like this because our work is finally being valued and respected.
What New Writers Need To Do?
If you are new to Medium or have been taking it non-seriously, I strongly recommend you to spare at least one hour a day to write something. I published 70+ stories the previous month and made over $1200. Some of my stories are self-published, while others are live with the Illumination group.
My journey until now has been good, and I don’t regret my decision of quitting my teaching job for Medium. In the beginning, you may not get good results. However, you should show up daily or at least five times a week. Here are some quick tips for new writers to succeed on Medium:
- Write five articles from Monday to Friday, and there’s no need to write more than 600 words in a post.
- Focus on your target audience and don’t worry about big publications and curation. Your work will surely be read if it conveys a powerful message.
- Try to become an inspiration, not someone who criticizes or blames others through their content.
- If you don’t get a bonus, you shouldn’t feel unseen or unappreciated. It takes time. I have been working on Medium for nearly ten months, and I am getting success, fame, and lots of money because of my hard work and consistency.
- Prepare a list of titles for the whole week to save your time. While writing something, keep an eye on the trendiest posts, read them and get some inspiration.
My Future Plans
As usual, I will try to publish something every day even when it is self-published and hasn’t been curated. This is because my readers wait for my new content, and I aim to come up with their expectations. I am trying to build a strong relationship with my fellow writers because this makes me happy. I believe that nobody can work alone and that we need to act as a team and should support one another weeks after weeks.
If you didn’t get the bonus or are new to Medium, you need to produce mass content to get $500. To newcomers or aspiring writers, Medium has given $50 or $100. I know this because my friend Misbah Shah got $100.
