WRITING

Dear Me

Day 11 Preptober writing prompt challenge

Day 11: Write a letter to future you to read on December 1st.

So today’s NaNoWriMo Preptober challenge is to write a letter to myself to be read on December first. Interesting. I’ll have to try to remember to come back on December first and do a follow-up post for this one. I know I’ve got a big month in November and writing the first book of the Rainbow Circus series is hopefully going to be a positive alignment. I suspect it will be. Ok, let’s write me a letter!

Yo, Kai! Word Up, Dude!

You wrote another book. Look, we’re not surprised, but medium worked a damn charm, right? Can we believe we actually, edited a book! Holy hell. Well, I guess we can’t use that old excuse anymore. So, what are we going to do about all those other books waiting to be edited? Hmmm? You’ve built the habit now so, off you go. Go do the editing of the words.

Before you go though, hey, I’m proud of you. November… wasn’t easy. You had your next blood test and your first T follow-up appointment. With that going on, I’m really damn proud of you for still getting Knot That Hot done and come on, a little bit of writing Personal Best on the side was a pretty solid effort. Oh, and uni! Seriously, I don’t know why at the last minute you swapped out an easy first-year subject for a third, but I bet it’s going to be fun.

Really though, you had a big month! I think you deserve a moment to breathe and acknowledge everything you achieved. Be proud, dude; you are all over this.

But, no time to rest. Well, maybe a little, but not too much. We’ve gotta start planning out book 2 because you know Bart is itching to tell his story!

Keep writing, keep editing, keep following the path to you.

Kai :D
