Jazz pianist and composer Diana Krall was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia in 1964. Her mother was a teacher, her dad an accountant, and her sister Michelle was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Diana recorded two albums in the early nineties which got the attention of industry insiders. Her third record All For You in honor of Nat King Cole was nominated for a Grammy in 1996. Her next album Love Scenes featuring guitarist Russell Malone was an instant hit.

“You’re creating an intimacy that everybody feels, that it’s their experience, not yours.”

After a world tour and a Platinum album with The Look of Love, Krall married British rocker Elvis Costello in 2003. Diana has also accompanied Paul McCartney, Ray Charles, and Tony Bennett and produced a Barbra Streisand record.

In 2012, Diana Krall performed Fly Me to the Moon at the memorial service for Neil Armstrong. Diana continues to write lyrics, compose, and produce music while raising her twin sons with Elvis.
