Iconic Figures

Born in Corsica in 1769, Napoleon Boneparte was only twenty at time of the Franch Revolution, but he already had designs on future conquests.

By the time the revolutionary wars ended, Napoleon had a firm grip on the nation’s leadership. He ruled as Emporor form 1804 to 1814, and then briefly again after returning from exile. During that time, his massive armies controlled most of Europe.

Contraversy followed his name long after his death, but even today he is considered one of the great military minds in history.

Musical Ride

Shea Stadium in New York was the scene of the first American stadium rock conert when The Beatles appeared in 1965. The band played twelve songs in about thirty minutes after several opening acts. The sound system was overwhelmed by 56,000 screaming fans and were barely heard.

Gone But Not Forgotten

Will Rogers was member of the Cherokee Nation who became an actor on Vaudeville and film. Also a much loved journalist and humorist, Rogers wit made him an American icon. Will Rogers died in 1935 at the age of 55>
