Cosmetic Surgery in the Wrong Hands is a Killer
How an influencer died on the table during surgery by mother and daughter

Cosmetic surgery is a billion-dollar industry and counting. Many people, males, and females seek out plastic surgeons to alter and/or enhance various body parts. There is nothing wrong with making changes to one’s personal appearance if it makes the person feel better about themselves.
In reality, beauty comes from within and not outwardly to within. Youth is truly wasted on the young. Many young people who feel insecure about their body parts are more apt to seek out getting cosmetic surgery from whoever offers the most affordable price with a promise of obtaining their heart desire for a better tomorrow. Too often, the innocent fall prey and become the victim of a society where many fake practitioners prey on the innocent and are ill-intended causing disfigurement and/or even death.
Recently, in 2019, a mother and daughter duo, Alicia Gomez, 23, and Libby Adame, 51, have found themselves being charged for the murder of Karissa Rajpaul, an ambitious 26-year-old South African influencer who moved to Southern California with a dream to become a social media star and to make it in the adult entertainment business, as she sought this mother and daughter duo for a butt-lift. See their photos above.
Gomez and Adame are now being charged with doing illegal cosmetic surgery. This young lady gave her life for a dream desired as she put her life in the hands of two who had little regard for life and lacked integrity.
Upon Rajpaul arrival and settling in Sherman Oaks, she contacted this mother-daughter duo who advertised cosmetic procedures at discounted rates on Instagram.
According to the police, this duo was not licensed to perform surgery, yet Rajpual schedule three medical procedures with them. So excited about getting her butt enhancement, Rajpaul showed selfies and a video during the procedure where she was smiling while lying on a table in an Encino home. The video also included Adame and Gomez injecting a syringe into Rajpaul’s buttocks.
The final mishap was the third procedure, that lead to the demise of Rajpaul, something went drastically and horribly wrong. It has been found that Rajpaul was injected with a type of liquid silicon comprised of materials commonly found in at-home-improvement stores according to the LA County coroner’s office. From this injection, Rajpaul suffered acute cardiopulmonary dysfunction and died right where she laid on that table where she happily laid waiting for what was supposed to be a life-changer in the entertainment business.
Realizing their mistake and the death of Rajpaul, they contacted 911 and fled the home. Hoping to escape authority but while it took nearly two years, they were finally apprehended and charged with murder. Prior to them being caught, 50 other victims reported that they had received botched surgeries.
Since their arrest, there has been a barrage of calls from mostly women who reported that they had been subjected to botched cosmetic procedures. Some of these victims were subjected to permanent disfigurement and gruesome consequences from unlicensed practitioners.
Many of the people who came forth with their stories also shared how this mother and daughter duo performed in-home procedures in private homes, transferring medical equipment to and from each location.
Sadly to learn, that plastic surgery centers that fail state standards are still allowed to accept patients. This opens the door for others just like this mother and daughter duo to take advantage of people seeking body enhancements at reduced rates.
On social media, the advertisement of lower-cost draws many to such illegal operations. It appears that the average cost for a typical butt-lift from a certified plastic surgeon cost range from $10,000 to $15,000, compared to the mother and daughter duo cost range of $3,000 and $4,000. It is true, “You get what you paid for or not.”
In conclusion, with all the people that are coming forth with their stories, this mother and daughter duo may face additional charges, including disfigurement, mayhem, and great bodily injury, not to mention the mental and emotional trauma each endured.
A caution to all, please do your homework when getting any type of surgery. There are associations online that allow checking out medical professionals’ credentials. Don’t fall prey to being gullible. While these two have been captured, there are thousands more lurking on social media ready to take your money and/or put your life at risk.
