Summary

Lucy Dan shares her personal strategy for managing stress by organizing her thoughts and tasks into visual planners, which brings her a sense of calm amidst chaos.

Abstract

The web content presents a personal approach to stress management by Lucy Dan, who finds solace in the act of organizing her thoughts and tasks. She describes a method of writing down all her thoughts, worries, and to-dos, then using highlighters and directional arrows to sort them into a color-coded, manageable schedule. This technique is detailed in her article on integrating Google Calendar and ToDoIst, which is recommended for those who appreciate visual planners and are easily distracted. Additionally, the content includes links to other works by Lucy Dan and R. Rangan PhD, indicating a broader exploration of coping mechanisms and thought organization.

  • She endorses the combination of Google Calendar and ToDoIst as effective tools for managing a stressful workload, especially for individuals who benefit from visual aids and are prone to distraction.
  • The content suggests that producing content, as seen in the linked poem "Coping by Producing," is another method of coping with stress.
  • R. Rangan PhD's contribution, "Grandmother Hypothesis," implies an interest in anthropological concepts and their application to understanding human behavior and coping strategies.

Sometimes in placing jumbled words into framed tables, linked with directional arrows, colour coded in at least five different colours

I find calm.

Hi, I’m Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) and sometimes, amidst the chaos, the way that I sit and center myself is to just dump all of the thoughts, worries, “to-dos” onto paper, grab my highlighters and neatly sort these thoughts into doable, manageable bits of my schedule.

Hop down the rabbit hole? 🐰🕳
