WALKING ROUTE 66
Chicago to L.A. — Recap Week 13
Going nowhere, taking care of family business.

Route 66 is America’s most famed highway. People come from all over the world to travel up or down the historic highway.
On July 20th, 2016, I set off to traverse the Historic Route 66 — from Chicago to Santa Monica — on foot.
Yes, it sounds crazy, but haven’t you ever had a crazy idea? Well, I decided to follow through on mine and finish it.
Here is the summary of week 13, from day 85 to day 91, as I recount the odyssey and reflect on the memories and lessons learned.
The Journey Continues.
This was a week that I didn’t travel at all. I was visiting Houston for personal and family reasons.
This was the week of my son’s birthday. We spent some time together. Unfortunately, my MIL passed away a few days before his birthday, so his sister and their mother were gone to Canada for the final services.
While in Houston, I connected with some friends, worked at regular places, and met some of my customers who were wondering where I had been. That was a pleasant surprise. The week went by too fast.
It would be another few days before I head back on the road.
As always, thanks for reading and responding.
Stay blessed and be happy, my friends.
