SCIENCE FICTION

Ch. 7: Area 42 Comes to Life

Green with envy or flushed with love?

Background photo by Matthew LeJune on Unsplash, altered and probably ruined by alien beings

This is the seventh chapter of a science fiction romp coauthored by Dan Lee. Here’s a short synopsis of what has happened so far. We still don’t know for sure who Amanda really is, but those rascally Bdelians are definitely stalking her. Why?What do they want? What does Amanda want and how will the Unobtainium Crystal help her get it?

Links to all the previous chapters are provided at the end of this one. Neither of us knows where this is going, but we’re having fun and hope you are too!

Chapter 7: Area 42—It’s Ali-i-ive!

Any normal human who handled an unobtanium crystal would instantly go mad, or worse. Amanda would have known this if she had only taken the time to read the instructions in the little black book, stuffed inside an old cracker tin and buried by her father under the Bdelian rematerialization field — which Amanda had found and partially dug up.

Amanda discovers that she is half-alien, but is “materialized” as fully human with no need for a materialization field. Joe and Flavio know this, that she is a hybrid on the brink of self-discovery, and that she is extremely physically attractive to the Bdelians. They are drawn to her…

She was born in a total eclipse near the secretive Area 36. Now she’s dug up a cable in the field by the stable, and she’s dreaming of tiny green dicks!

She thought of that old cracker tin and the secrets her dad hid within. “Where’s that little black book? I should take a good look so I’ll know just where to begin.”

But the book changed its state, and began to glow and vibrate, so she raced down the stairs still completely unawares that Bdelians were lying in wait.

Flavio and Joe Lee were in love having stalked her for years from above. Her father had mated with a Bdelian created by the field Amanda got rid of.

Down those steep stairs she schlepped, where Joe Lee and Flavio crept. She felt a deep chill and a wild manic thrill. She was turning bright green as she stepped!

Amanda’s blond cranium, now infused with Unobtanium, felt a strange vibration from an alien invasion, and thought, “What have I become?”

She felt no fear whatsoever. As a hybrid, she felt she was better than green dicks in a stairwell, raising all kinds of green hell. Then she saw on the wall their love letter.

To be continued….
