Can You Get Yourself Together? Believe It and Do it Now!
What is your Limiting Belief about Writing?
How does your belief affect your reality?
What you believe affects your mindset and your abilities. These can be developed and strengthened by your actions. The relationship between our beliefs and how our brains operate is complex.
If you believe in yourself and your abilities, your brain will adapt to new situations faster.
If you believe you are incapable, your brain will not adjust to new situations as easily.
These beliefs are not static. They change based on what you believe in.
What Do You Believe About Your Writing Abilities?
Do you believe that you can actually write? Better yet, do you believe that others will think you are a great writer. This can be confusing, but important to figure out.
What is it you want to do with your writing? Are you writing for fun or to make some money on the side? Or both?
What do you think about your writing? When you were a child, did a teacher or parent criticize you writing? That may have left you with a strong feeling of inadequacy in your abilities as a writer.
You cannot change what happened in the past. But you can change what you feel about the present. You are in the Now — the present. It does not matter that your English teacher said your story was awful or that they gave you a “C” or lower in the course. That’s over.
You are now proving to yourself and to others that — You Can Do It!
What do you Believe about Yourself?
What your beliefs say about the world around you is presented to your brain in your conscious mind. The more you believe in the beliefs and system, the stronger it becomes.
There are many factors that can affect how you think about yourself, like what your parents taught you, what others think of you, and your own history.
You might start to believe that there is something wrong with you and that it’s impossible for you to get anything done. If the people around you were always criticizing you and telling you that you could not do anything right — this might eventually become your belief. But it is not your belief — It’s theirs!
The important thing here is not just to pay attention to what other people tell us but also pay attention to the messages we send ourselves on a regular basis. What do you end up saying to yourself?
Who Determines what you believe?
The important part of this whole process is your beliefs. If you believe you are worthless and can’t do anything right, your subconscious will keep presenting this belief to you.
If you believe you are capable and able, your subconscious will present other options to you in new situations. So it’s important to have your beliefs in check.
If you change beliefs, the emotions will change accordingly. Your subconscious mind will always reflect what your beliefs say about the world around you. This is how your beliefs can create your reality.
What are Belief Systems?
A belief system is a set of beliefs. It can be religious, political, social, or philosophical.
Your subconscious mind accepts beliefs unconditionally. These beliefs are presented to your subconscious mind through your emotions.
Why Beliefs are so Powerful?
Beliefs are powerful because they’re a belief. It’s not enough to simply think that something is true, you have to actually believe it in order for it to take effect. To believe is to know, and so the power of your beliefs will depend on how much you believe in them.
Limitations of Beliefs & Potential for Change
People are creatures of habit. It takes a lot of time and effort to change one’s beliefs. However, once people come to terms with their limiting beliefs, they can take action on the change they want to make.
Limiting beliefs are not true. They are just an illusion that stops us from believing in ourselves or taking action on what we want to accomplish in life. We need to understand that there is no doubt about who we are and what we can do with our lives if we put our minds into it.
