Blue is My Color

And blue can be your color too if you want!

Blue is my color Blue can be your’s if you want You see blue everywhere!

I have always been fond of the color blue. I used to wear it a LOT as a child and as a young man.

As a young man, I would wear blue jeans or blue jean shorts, and almost always some shirt or tee that had the color blue in it.

I believe at one point, my bedroom has painted a shade of blue even, and when we moved from that house to another and I couldn’t paint the walls blue, I had a blue faux suede bed cover or bedspread.

I loved blue, well, until I didn’t as much.

As I have gotten older, the color black has replaced it, but mostly because it’s so much easier to wear something black, so I don’t have to ponder matching colors.

Another reason I wear the color black is that they say that wearing the color black is “cooler.” Not so much about temperature, but because it makes you look more hip or stylish. But, again, think back to the “Devil Wears Prada,” almost every shade of black was represented.

The color black can be “hotter” too, but in temperature, they say, not just making you “hot!”

I wear black not as much for being “cool” or even “hot” but more because they say it may make you look thinner. I can live with that; I need all the help I can get.

Today, well, I guess my favorite color is black. Not as colorful as blue, but still a color nonetheless. I suppose that makes the color blue my second favorite color.

Should I change my poem? Insert black for blue; it would still work.

What’s your favorite color? I have shared mine; I would like to know yours too!

I have dabbled with the haiku method of poetry and have always enjoyed its simplicity. But at the same time, it’s power to get the thought across.
