A Japanese Poetic Form and Shout-Outs
Blossoming Friendship
A Dodoitsu Poem

Alone, aloof, wet, cold, sad that one tree stood still, sighing circled by brick and mortars searching for a friend.
Kept searching for a dear friend, amidst the sulky concrete, that someone to converse with, someone to smile to.
It seemed mother nature heard, it showered so heavily, all the earth, wet and smelly but the tree, still sad.
Then one day, the tree noticed, that green thing, is that a sprout? rising firmly from the earth, friendship blossoming.
Dodoitsu is a Japanese form of poetry. It has 26 syllables: 7 in the first, second and third lines, and 5 in the last line. (7/7/7/5)
