Blooms are Bustin’ Out All Over!

There is a lot going on in every neighbourhood garden!

The header picture show that honeysuckle and many different types of campanula are rioting around the place already.

Rowan and wisteria are putting on fabulous shows (above).

It’s the end of the tulip flowering season so they’re going out in a blaze of glory!

Calla lilies and flags are in full swing.

I do like the blue of this iris — especially next to the brilliant yellow of the dandelions.

I’m very fond of dandelions. They’re cheerful and they’re great friends with pollinators.

Weigela and white Montana clematis are crowding the hedges.

This is PupperJack when I left him in the house in order to go outside the front and water the pots of plants out there.

It clearly shows what a neglected, abandoned, unloved doggo he is.

I was out the front of the house for about, ooh, two and a half minutes.

I am obviously shockingly neglectful of this poor, defenceless pooch.

All this coronation business made Doggo pick up shears to celebrate in her own way. Herding was in her blood, but topiary was in her soul.

Also in the last week it was ‘Mother Ocean Day’ — REALLY, really cool surf dudes did their thing, and other, more contemplative doggos did theirs.

Dennett started the Photo-a-Day Challenge to help combat the pandemic blues. Since then many others kindly share their week with us:

Erika Burkhalter, Anne Bonfert, Tracy Aston, Lisa Bolin, Juan O. Aguilera, David Wade Chambers, June Nguyen, Mia Verita, LensAfield, Barbara Radisavljevic, Diana Lotti, Barb Dalton, Kim Zuch, K. Barrett, Penny Grubb, Ellie Jacobson, Shruthi Sundaram, Jillian Amatt — Artistic Voyages, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, Ann James

(If your name should, or should not, be on this list, please let me know.)
