Bliss
Who knew heaven could be found in one bite?
It’s a feast for the eyes.
A decadent array of flowing chocolate glaze coating the airy mousse underneath. Adorned with wisps of flaky sweetness as its crown. It’s almost too pretty to eat.
Almost.
The fork is on a mission to launch Slicing between layers of dense yet fluffy aromatics And picks up its prize Zooming into my mouth at top speed
Then, Bliss.
Pure. Savoury. Delightful. Bliss.
It coats my tongue with flavour Each bite drawn out and thoughtful Taking note of each ingredient that comprises The masterpiece in my mouth. My nostrils inhale the sharp tang of bittersweet cocoa That simultaneously slides down my throat.
Fork slides I sigh And the launch sequence starts Over And over again.
Until I stare at the reflection of my blissful smile Returning my gaze from my plate.
