DRABBLE STORY ARC #2: SEEK AND AVENGE
Beauty in Unexpected Places
A chapter of a ‘choose your own’ story — drabble edition.

This is a collaborative ‘choose your own’ fiction story. The whole story begins with ‘The Burned Village’ by JF Danskin. You can also head back to the previous chapter here. Or find out how to contribute to the ongoing story here.
Call it brainwashing. Stockholm Syndrome. Insanity, if you must. You don’t know how it happened, and you don’t care.
As the days became a month and then more months, you saw all the tiny, everyday, mundane rituals of Lorenzo’s life that actually make him kind of beautiful.
You take pleasure in rubbing his sore arches, you sweeten his dandelion tea. You think about your lost family only as a fond memory, now.
One day, without thinking, you kiss him. He is initially surprised, but he kisses you back!
You happily spend the rest of your days growing old with him.
THE END.
