Be The Observer To Inspire And Get Inspired

In response to the Dancing Elephants Press prompt #9 of 52 for book project #2

Life is so beautiful! Just change the angle of your lens a bit and align your heart and mind to it! Observe and then you’ll see it and feel it! — GnanVi

Be the Observer to find your Inspiration whether it be within or your surroundings!

Life is full of challenges and you need inspiration from something or someone who can pat on your back and say, “It’s okay, you’re doing great.”

If not anyone, at least you should have a strong YOU to do that for you.

“When a storm is coming, all other birds seek shelter. The Eagle alone avoids the storm by flying above it. So, in the storms of life, may your heart soar like an eagle.” — Author unknown

💐

My First Inspiration

My parents were my first inspiration. My mother was a selfless, caring, compassionate person. She was the most powerful woman I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

My father was a teetotaller. Having worked in the tea gardens, he has never tasted tea, can you believe it? He was a role model to many including me. I admired him for his time management and straightforwardness.

They lived an amazing life with dignity and integrity and are remembered to date for their unconditional love for everyone around them and their ethical values. My mother was 78 when she died in May 2012 and my father couldn’t wait long enough and joined her 2 years after that.

They’re also remembered for the love and commitment they had for each other.

Every time there was a marriage in my hometown, the newly married couple would be brought to our house by their parents for a feast, and over the dinner, they will relish the taste of my mother’s recipes along with the great lessons about relationships and life ethics and begin their journey with a souvenir with my parents’ blessings.

Even though I was very small (must have been 7 or 8 in the mid-1980s) at that time, I have observed all that since then. Now, I’m so grateful that I am living with those great values and passing them on to my 9-year-old son, and inspiring others to live with values.

Divine parents! I miss them to the core!

Love you Amma! Love you Appa!

I am a service-oriented person and Mother Teresa has been a great inspiration for me since my childhood.

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” — Mother Teresa

Inspiration From Nature

You can learn a lot just by observing Nature, understanding the rhythm of it!

“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” — Albert Einstein

Since my childhood, the one thing that has always inspired me was the mesmerizing energy of the flowing water in a stream.

Have you observed the stream water to witness its struggles and strength, and how it elegantly overcomes the obstacles, and just moves on and on?

It flows and flows! Twists and turns! Gushing against the rocks! Rolling over the pebbles! Rubbing against the grass and ground covers! Even roots and fallen trees block its way!

It can rest for a while! Freshen up to get agile!

You don’t know what will come next!

Will it know beforehand that it is going to be falling so deep from hundreds of feet high from the mountains to form that beautiful waterfall?

Regardless of its fall and the depth it reaches in the plunge pool taking its breath away, it still bounces back up and starts flowing again with even more force to discover the next adventure with a roaring smile.

And, observe closely, the richness it gets through this rough travel!

The color and fragrances of all the plants and flowers it touches! The healing effects from the medicinal properties of the roots that are imbibed in it, and the fallen leaves and flowers! The traces of minerals it washes off the rocks and pebbles!

It has to go through all that to enrich itself and to enrich other lives on this planet, quenching the thirst of millions of beautiful species, including humans, and helping all the lives to thrive.

There is beauty in all its struggles like the beauty you see in the great human souls whose lives are like that of the stream water. You are getting enriched by the lessons you learn from those struggles and downfalls to help yourself create a new stronger YOU to inspire others to grow stronger.

Is your life like the Stream Water? Does it inspire you?

Observe to Witness the Signals!

Take a walk in Nature, observe and absorb! Whisper to the trees, feel the caressing breeze! Feel the difference in your senses! That’s the refreshing Energy of Nature! That has the power to ENLIGHTEN you! — GnanVi

All you have to do is to slow down to notice and appreciate every single creature that crawls, runs, and flies that shares this beautiful planet with us.

They are all living the same lives as we do, but in magical harmony with Mother Nature!

Be the Nature’s child and you’ll be blessed with the strength and guidance to triumph over all your miseries.

For over two decades or more, my life has been “A Series of Unfortunate Events.” But, slowing down to observe Nature helped build my resilience and we as a family turned our life’s challenges into opportunities. Constraints made me more creative.

A beautiful mind sees beauty in everything and is gifted with eternal happiness!

— GnanVi

Yes, because my son and I had the habit of exploring and observing even the tiniest creatures hiding under the leaves, we witnessed many wonders and received signals as consolation from Mother Nature.

My son is a self-learner; a preschool dropout. Observing and learning from Nature, “Nature Learning” is the methodology we follow.

The Universe is listening! Nature sends signals to console, warn, and guide you!

Recognize the Signal

One pleasant morning, my husband and my son were out for a morning walk, I wasn’t doing good and so I didn’t join them that day, and as they returned home, my son came running to me and said, “Mom, you gotta see this…this…you won’t believe it!” and he showed me a picture on the phone. I went “AWE!” It was hard for me to believe too.

It was a picture of a mushroom growing on horse dung. It looked extraordinarily bright white and had a glow around it like a halo.

At one glance, I was so relieved because it was like an answer for my tears shed the previous night while I wailed looking at my mother’s photo and to Mother Nature, giving out the energy that can hit the core of the universe, seeking an answer.

We got stuck in a place worse than the horse dung because of the pandemic.

The photo I was holding felt like a comforting message from Mother Nature to reflect on us that amidst all the misery, we still kept glowing brighter than ever from the inside like a shining star.

I thanked Mother Nature at that very moment with a smile and regained confidence.

We observed! We recognized!

Be an Observer Like a Kid

Kids learn more from Nature and the surroundings and also from us, more by observing than from what we teach them.

Another wonder my son spotted during one of our evening walks and insisted I go with him to witness it and it was a miracle. He led me to a strong healthy plant growing in a crevice in the road.

Have you noticed one like that?

Have you thought about the struggles the plant would have gone through to grow on a bitumen road? But, due to the harsh challenges, the roots grow deeper and wider making the plant stronger to sustain and thrive.

Likewise, the more challenges you face in life, the stronger you grow.

The outcome of any situation purely depends on how we tune ourselves to deal with it.

The time you realize the fact that “You” are your own creator, the sculptor, you can start sculpting your own life the way you want to live!

— GnanVi

You Inspire Others

Now, it’s not only about getting inspired but also about inspiring others.

I’ve been an inspiration to many since my childhood. Even as a couple, I and my husband have been an inspiration to many of our friends and family and have helped many through counseling.

People open up very easily and share even their very inner secrets the very first time they meet, even strangers.

So, we aspire to continue this service throughout our life; it’s one of our purposes in life.

Take the courage to observe and share your life experiences that can be an inspiration to someone.

Look Inward for Self-Inspiration

You can be the best inspiration for yourself!

How many struggles have you had in your life? Who was there to support?

It was the strong YOU all along!

Observe within! Get Inspired!

For Final Thoughts

It’s a magical world! There is always something to inspire you from every direction. The sunrise, sunset, the night sky, wind, birds, smiling fragrant flowers, trees, mountains, the ideas behind innovations, tall buildings…is there an end?

“The purest, innocent smile of a child is an inspiration. It lightens our hearts and energizes our minds.”

– GnanVi

You don’t know who you are Discover yourself!
