Reflecting On Life In The Old Age
April Six Word Story Challenge: “Life”
Deep in thought, this is life
This is the story of the man in the photo 🤚🏽. He has all the experiences in the world. He has seen the changes in seasons and the movement of the world from simplicity to change through technological advancements.
He has been a child, an adolescent, a teenager, and a young man who has lived his life. He has worked in many organizations.
He has crossed many bridges of failure and success. He had many friends.
Such a person is reflecting deeply on life.
I really enjoyed seeing this artwork. Every hair on his head can be seen. His face is full of wrinkles. He has closed his eyes and he is pensive.
Has his life been worth it? He thinks of how the people flocked around him. Now he is old and no one wants him around. They are too busy for him. He leads a solitary life. He tries to keep himself busy but there is nothing for him to do in life anymore.
He thinks
“Am I waiting for death?”
“ Is there something I can still do in my life?” He tries to find out the purpose of life.
This is how most old people spend their lives. They surrender themselves to doing nothing. Some become very lonely and their spirit from within is dead. Others engage themselves in community work or groups and they keep busy.
It is better to live your life even if you are old. Enjoy every moment of your existence by making friends or joining some like-minded groups of people. It is never too late to be a spiritual person by thinking of good thoughts and kindness toward people.
“You carry the passport to your own happiness.” — Diane von Furstenberg
To wrap up
No one can escape old age if he has longevity of life. Enjoy every stage of life. Be kind to people and inspire them to do their best in life. Everyone who is young will be old one day. Be prepared to feel good always in whatever you do.
Always be kind
GREET PEOPLE WITH A SMILE
Perhaps it is best to become a minimalist and enjoy the winds of change.
