Be Careful With What You Ask for — You Will Get It!
As you manifest, it will come.
My Google Chromecast TV and my Google Nest Mini arrived. Yippee!
When I woke up today, At first, I said I would write about these gadgets. But, the Universe has others plans, and today, it is to write how happy am I.
While listening to some Japanese Lofi songs on the smart speaker, hmm… my Google Nest Mini, my mind wondered how I ended up getting these two gadgets.
I don’t buy a lot of stuff, but tech stuff. If I can afford it, I would. Let me put this out early on this story. I want this to be a viral story that will earn me my first $10,000 from writing, the first of many.
You might be thinking? Where is this story going? Go on reading …
I am manifesting my first $10,000 from writing,
And, each one of your good wishes will make it happen.
This brings me to the opening scene of the movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Where Holly, played by Audrey Hepburn, came down from a taxi, walked to the window of Tiffany & Co., and ate her breakfast of coffee and croissant.
In one of the most iconic opening scenes from a movie, Holly remains to be an outsider. She remains outside of the building.
We feel that way sometimes, an outsider. I do.
When I started writing again, it was to help me with my anxiety. I think a lot about what is happening around me, in my life as my MOM’s caregiver, and the uncertainty surrounding the future.
Writing did help me, and it continues to help me navigate through my feelings.
But, my inner critic continues to stop me with the usual self-doubt that I only deserve very little.
That I will only earn a few dollars, That I will not be recognized and curated, That I will end up quitting.
For a time, it was true, I didn’t get readers, I only got paid in cents, and I almost quit.
But things do change once we change our thoughts and our words. I did.
After my MOM died, and while I take comfort that she died beautifully, it still makes me sad every day, and I look forward to the day we will meet again. She left me life lessons, not to quit, follow my dreams, and live the life I felt was my lost years for the last seven years as her caregiver.
Success is coming my way.

I moved into a small apartment in a very artsy location. I have been getting readers for the stories I write. My last month’s earnings from writing were $71.16.
Oh, let me change that to $571.16. Yes, I am proud to be among the 1,000 writers who got the $500 bonus. That in itself is another story of which my heart is full of gratitude. It was like winning the golden ticket.
One of my favorite quotes from Steve Jobs is,
You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.
How did I end up owning my Google Chromecast TV and Google Nest Mini?
So, I connected the dots looking backward at how I got the money to buy them in the first place, how I got to be rewarded with $500, and how I got to write about the Google Chromecast.
Let me show you the timeline.
- May 12, 2021 — Received my Google Chromecast TV & Google Nest Mini.
- May 10, 2021 — Ordered it online.
- May 10, 2021 — $485.49 transferred to my account after taxes.
- May 07, 2021 — Receives the good news of the $500 gift.
- April 20, 2021 — I wrote about dual monitors where I mentioned Google Chromecast.
- April 2021 — My five-year-old laptop needed repair.
I looked back, traced it all back to at first felt a challenge. It caused me anxiety and fear that I may lose the one thing that I used to write stories. My laptop, but God, the Universe, and MOM conspired.
I turned the challenge and reclaimed my “superpowers,” and fixed my computer on my own.
I wrote about the struggles I had with an old laptop, which led me to write about dual monitors. It remains as my top-earning article for April 2021.
I subconsciously called for these two gadgets to come into my life. However, I only mentioned Google Chromecast in the article.
I can’t thank enough ILLUMINATION and Dr. Mehmet Yildiz for accepting my submission. It allowed me to share my story with one of the most welcoming communities of writers and readers.
They read, they clapped, and left me messages of encouragement.
Never Quit!
When you are feeling any self-doubt and ready to quit. If you think your writing journey is going nowhere. I hope somehow this story inspires you to push yourself further.
Miracles come when you are ready to accept them.
And so is a success. Life isn’t meant to be easy, and our writing journey. The best stories are told by writers who never had it easy: Stephen King, JK Rowling, and you.
Be Careful With What You Wish For. You, Will, Get It!
From impossible to …
I’m possible.
Success is never too late. I am in my 50s. This is my third act. I am a writer. I will continue to ask God, the Universe, and my MOM to guide me through my writing journey. To continue to weave stories that will inspire and be honest, authentic, and coming from the heart.
All that will be left when I am gone are my words.
For now, let me enjoy my Japanese Lofi songs on my Google Nest Mini. It is so cool to have one.
And help me manifest my $10,000. If it can happen to me, it will happen to you. My affirmation stands today, May 13, 2021, and when I receive my $10,000, you can bet I will share it with you.
Have a great day, writing.
