Drabble STORY ARC #2: Seek and Avenge
Battling the Orc Chieftain
A boss battle, part 2.
This is a ‘choose your own’ fiction story, “drabble edition”. You can check out Chapter 1 of this story: The Burned Village. Check the previous chapter: ‘The Orc Chieftain’ by JF Danskin.
As the orc leader prepares a spell, you roll, then slash. Your direct approach surprises him, and your sword cuts his arm, elbow to fingertip.
He recoils, then sends a fireball in your direction. But somehow, a flaming bird appears, blocking the full force of the attack.
“Naya!” someone cheers.
Now Tox’ar is at your side, fending off orc attacks. So is the forest ranger Bruno, with his dog, Scruff.
You charge, using the distraction to knock the orc leader back against the wall.
“Where are my family?” you demand.
“In Ballax,” he grins, “being feasted on by our master.”
