The orc leader is a huge, pale-skinned beast in armor, atop a warhorse. He spies you, and spurs his mount towards you. You dodge a magical missile. As he kicks at your face, you grab him, and drag him from the saddle.

Before long you are wrestling on the ground.

“You killed my people,” you snarl.

“Marroz Pale-eyes will slowly feast upon the survivors,” he gloats, name-dropping the infamous ogre lord.

All around, your allies battle other orcs. Your own fight takes you to the watchtower, where you stand and face each other, bruised but committed, swords ready.

Continue.

This story is a collaborative effort. Please feel free to join in develop the story — there are plenty of loose ends!

I have a follow-up to this one drafted, and intend to lead from here directly into a set of chapters by John Fanidis and Andrew Crocker.
