You stare up, expecting to be devoured… but all you see is a vast cloud of bats. You must have imagined the eerie groaning!
You hold the torch low as the bats circle, then rise. There’s light source high up… there must be a way out!
You climb. Soon you have to cast the torch aside. But as luck would have it, there are neat handholds cut in the rock.
At last you reach the top. It’s evening… and you spy a shifty gnome.
“Remember me?” says Geart. “Come. The wizard’s tower is close. Riches to be had. Hehe. Hehehe…”
