A Dead End in the Caves…?

Raising the torch, you walk deeper into the cave. To your surprise, it continues for at least a hundred feet. You are going deep into the mountainside through this narrow passage. It’s easy going underfoot, level and straight.

The air continues to be chokingly humid, however. You cover your mouth, but feel compelled to continue.

Then, as the stony passage narrows at last, you reach a large round rocky chamber. A dead end.

Strange — you can still hear the otherworldly groaning. It sounds close, but the room is empty.

Or is it?

You raise your head and look above you…
