Another Rainy Day…

And another rainy day story.

Yesterday is not today, but it is raining again today. So just like yesterday and the day before, I’m a rainy day writer. We need the rain badly, so I’ll just keep writing.

The gentleman down the street had a break in the firewall. Didn’t really do any damage, but he has quite a story to tell. He seems fine, but where did he learn all those strange languages? Sounds like there is more to this story.

Anyhow…an interesting six-part short story came my way a while back. It was about recovering the Constitution. Not what I expected. Thought it might be about the founders and how they wrote it. Things seemed to end well for some in this story, but it got messy in the process.

Cold rainy days like these make you want to go somewhere warm. The wife and I were sitting in front of the fireplace, having a hot chocolate as we tried to decide where to go. We settled on Antigua. Warm and tropical by the looks of it!

Shortly after the first of the year, when there was still snow on the ground, a tropical trip would have been an excellent remedy for the late winter doldrums. To divert my attention from the cold weather, I investigated a short story and short film of the same name. “The Night Stand” is not for the faint of heart. It didn’t end well. I found the short film a good introduction to the story.

Sometimes I’ll snack while I’m writing. Ever wonder what you’re eating? I mean, do you check the labels on some of this stuff to see what’s really in it? It’s all edible, right? Nature has some great scavengers. Maybe I should test some of this stuff out on them to see what they think.

Talking about eating, I came across an exceptional video of the best Super Bowl pre-game menu. This was the best. I am sure you will agree; who would not want to prep for a big game like this? It may be too much for every year, but every four or five might be OK. You be the judge.

As the rain keeps falling, I’m starting to feel like I’m living on a tablet. My iPad is a pretty convenient writing tool, so I tend to start my writing here and then do the cleanup and publishing from my laptop.

Probably about time to disengage and grab some lunch.
